We had looked at the Lifx bulbs in our post comparing the Philips Hue and Lifx bulbs: Hue vs Lifx. Except we mainly spent time on what the differences between the Hue bulbs and Lifx bulbs. In this post we are going to dig down more into the Lifx setup and see what accessories available and what types of lights that you can use.

The Lifx brand of bulbs are made by Lifi Labs, and their Lifx division according to their website is in Melbourne.

We’ve taken a list of Bulbs from Lifx and are going to give a brief overview of them. Feel free to run through this list and see if there is anything the catches your eye and is worth looking at. If that particular bulb isn’t filled in yet, that means we’re currently working on the list. Feel free to check back later.

Summing This All Up

Lifx lights are an excellent brand to pick up for your smart home. While you don’t have all the 3rd party apps, you don’t have to do certain things such as pick up a pricey Philips Hue Bridge just to make your setup work properly. Lifx has been around for a few years now so there products do have traction behind them in terms of third party apps.
